Terrell Kennedy scored 15 points, all in the first half, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff coasted past Alcorn State 80-52 Monday night for its fifth consecutive victory.

Kennedy just missed a triple-double, finishing with nine rebounds and nine assists for the Golden Lions (12-13, 11-2 SWAC), who kept pace with Southern University at the top of the conference standings.

Davon Haynes had 14 points and seven rebounds for Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Lazabian Jackson scored 12 and Mitchell Anderson had 11 points.

Pine Bluff led 37-20 at halftime and built the lead even more in the second half, shooting 61 percent. The Golden Lions finished at 51 percent for the game.

Anthony Nieves had 18 points to lead the Braves (9-19, 7-6). Marquiz Baker scored 13 for Alcorn State.
