Keifer Sykes had 16 points and five assists to help Green Bay recover from a tough defeat with a 68-59 victory over Detroit on Saturday afternoon.

Jordan Fouse added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Kam Cerroni scored 11 off the bench, for the Phoenix (13-12, 7-5 Horizon League), who outscored Detroit 38-26 in the second half. Green Bay was coming off Thursday's 70-68, double-overtime loss to Wright State that snapped a seven-game home winning streak.

Conference scoring leader Ray McCallum had 30 points and four steals for the Titans (16-9, 8-4) but didn't get much help. McCallum was 12 of 19 from the floor, but his teammates were a combined 10 of 35.

The Phoenix took the lead for good, 49-48, on Sykes' three-point play with 9:01 left and went on to lead by as many as 11.

Detroit still leads the all-time series between the schools, 24-21.
