Richard Gasquet and fellow Frenchman Benoit Paire were semifinal winners Saturday and will meet for the title at the Open Sud de France tennis event.

The third-seeded Gasquet battled past Finnish veteran Jarkko Nieminen, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, while the eighth-seeded Paire rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 triumph over compatriot Michael Llodra.

Gasquet, the No. 2 Frenchman, is off to a career-best 13-1 start this year. He improved his record in career finals to 8-10 by capturing the title in Doha during the opening week of the season.

Earlier Saturday, Paire fired 17 aces and broke his opponent's serve four times en route to reaching his second career ATP final. The 23-year-old was the runner-up in Belgrade last May.

Sunday's final will mark the first meeting between the two.
