Celtic increased its margin atop the Scottish Premier League to a comfortable 18 points on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Inverness at Caledonian Stadium.

Celtic have not lost in league play since a 1-0 setback to Inverness on Nov. 24, a span of 11 consecutive matches.

The home side opened the scoring 10 minutes in though Nick Ross, but the Hoops equalized 10 minutes later when Kris Commons powered one past Inverness goalkeeper Ryan Esson.

After the break, the league leaders sealed the result with goals from Rami Gershon in the 48th minute, and Miku eight minutes from time.

Inverness remains in a distant second place on 37 points.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Aberdeen and St. Mirren played to a 0-0 draw at Pittodrie Stadium, while goals from Johnny Russell, Willo Flood and Michael Gardyne were enough to give Dundee United a 3-1 result over Hearts at Tannadice Park.

Rounding out Saturday's action, Kilmarnock picked up an own goal from Steven Hammell and a 71st-minute tally from William Gross to secure a 2-0 win over Motherwell at Rugby Park.
