Adam Kemp scored 29 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as Marist defeated Iona 105-104 in double overtime Thursday night.
Isaiah Morton's 3-pointer with 43 seconds remaining in the second overtime put the Red Foxes (6-18, 3-10 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) ahead, 101-100. Jay Bowie and Chavaughn Lewis, who each finished with 21 points, added two free throws apiece to protect the lead.
After Lamont Jones' jumper with 5 seconds left brought the Gaels (14-10, 8-5) to within 105-104, a turnover by Bowie gave the ball back to Iona for a final shot, but Sean Armand missed on a 3-point try with 3 seconds left.
Lewis hit a tying 3-pointer for Marist with a second left in the first overtime.
Jones led all scorers with 37 points. Armand had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Iona.
Marist's point total was its highest since a 119-108 loss to Niagara Jan. 18, 1999.
