Jaromir Jagr scored 1:46 into overtime to give the Dallas Stars a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.

In the extra session, Jamie Benn blasted a shot on net from the high slot that was stopped and the rebound went to the right boards. From there, Jagr picked up the puck, skated to the inside right circle and beat Devan Dubnyk with a wrister to the short side for the win.

"I don't really remember what happened," Jagr joked of his game-winner. "It was very quick. It was too quick for my speed. I had a little space one-and- one and I tried to beat the guy one-on-one and I shot it right away."

That goal was the 668th of Jagr's career and moved him into a tie with Luc Robitaille for 10th place in NHL history.

Jagr and Benn each finished with a goal and an assist, while Derek Roy also scored for the Stars, who have won three of their last four. Kari Lehtonen made 27 stops in the win.

Ales Hemsky had a goal and an assist, while Justin Schultz also lit the lamp for the Oilers, who have dropped their past four games. Dubnyk gave up all three goals on 28 shots.

"We have to rectify that problem of not putting teams away," said Hemsky. "I thought we played well tonight and did a lot of good things, but we had chances that we didn't put away and let them get back into the game."

After a quiet first period, the Oilers scored 3:21 into the second when Nail Yakupov's shot from the right of the slot was stopped, but the rebound was put in by Hemsky at the left circle for a 1-0 lead.

Dallas tied the game with 6:36 to play in the second period when Benn's one- timer from the slot hit off the foot of Jeff Petry and went over the glove of Dubnyk.

The Stars then made it a 2-1 contest with 1:16 to play in the middle stanza off a power-play goal as Loui Eriksson's pass from the left point to the right saw Roy's big blast find the back of the net.

Edmonton tied the game 7:38 into the third period on a power-play goal of its own as Hemsky's pass from the right wing to the high slot saw Schultz one-time it off the right post and in for his third goal of the season.
