Harrison, NJ – Red Bull New York announced Tuesday that the club has signed midfielder Dax McCarty to a new contract.
McCarty enjoyed a stellar 2012 season with New York which saw him start 33 of 34 regular season matches and record three goals and three assists. The 25- year-old joined the Red Bulls on June 27, 2011 from D.C. United in exchange for Dwayne DeRosario.
"We are delighted to sign Dax to an extended contract, as he is a very important player for this club," said Red Bulls Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh. "As a talented, American player, Dax is part of the heart and soul of this team and we are looking forward to once again having him contribute to the Red Bulls and our campaign."
