Prairie View, TX – Prairie View A&M's football team will play a 12-game schedule in 2013 for the first time in 60 years.
The slate includes four homes games at Blackshear Field and nine matchups against Southwestern Athletic Conference opponents.
Prairie View will host SWAC rivals Alabama A&M (Sept. 21), Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 19, Homecoming) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 16) as well as transitioning Southland Conference member Abilene Christian (Nov. 2).
The Panthers' annual clash with Grambling State in the State Fair Classic will be contested on Oct. 5 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
This past season, Prairie View posted a 3-8 record under coach Heishma Northern.
