Leverkusen, Germany – Bayer Leverkusen defender Sebastian Boenisch has inked a new contract with the club that runs until 2016.
Boenisch signed with Leverkusen in November as a free agent on a short-term contract, but after impressing the club in his brief spell with the team, the 26-year-old has secured his future.
The Poland international has appeared in six Bundesliga games since his arrival, scoring one goal with one assist for a Leverkusen side that sits in third place in the league.
