Charlie Reddick scored 20 points, making all five of his 3-point attempts, and Furman held on to beat Georgia Southern 81-74 Thursday night.

The Paladins (6-13, 3-5 Southern) led by as many as 18 points, but Georgia Southern went on a 12-0 run and led 71-70 with less than 2 minutes to play. Bobby Austin made a pair of 3-pointers and Furman held on at the free-throw line.

Austin finished with 17 points. Six Paladins accounted for all but two of the team's points. Colin Reddick had 12 points, Stephen Croone scored 11, Bryant Irwin had 10 points and Larry Wideman contributed nine points as Furman shot 64 percent for the game.

C.J. Reed led the Eagles (9-13, 3-6) with 20 points. Eric Ferguson added 14 points for Georgia Southern, which shot 53 percent and stayed close by scoring 26 points off of 18 Furman turnovers.
