London, England – QPR continued its noteworthy transfer deadline day on Thursday by announcing the signing of Jermaine Jenas from Tottenham.
The Premier League club announced the record signing of defender Christopher Samba earlier on Thursday and followed that up by snapping up Jenas to bolster the midfield.
Jenas joined Tottenham from Newcastle in 2005 for a fee of $11 million. He garnered over 200 appearances for the White Hart Lane outfit but has since fallen out of favor with the club.
The 29-year-old spent the 2011-12 season on loan at Aston Villa but was forced out of action by a severe Achilles injury. He went on join Nottingham Forest on loan in September, making six appearances.
