Manny Arop scored 17 points to lead Indiana State to a 68-55 victory over No. 15 Wichita State on Tuesday.

Arop shot 7-of-11 from the field for the Sycamores (14-7, 7-3 MVC), who have won eight of their past 11 games. He also recorded six rebounds and two steals. Devonte Brown and Jake Odum each had 10 points.

"We played awfully hard and earned a very difficult win tonight," said ISU head coach Greg Lansing.

Wichita State (19-3, 8-2) struggled offensively, shooting just 27.1 percent from the field. Cleanthony Early had a team-high 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Demetric Williams added 14 points for the Shockers, who had their four- game winning streak snapped.

"We couldn't score inside, we couldn't guard them inside and they beat us on the glass. Things were not the norm tonight," said Shockers head coach Gregg Marshall. "They seemed to get every loose ball, which bothered me. It's not just lucky bounces, I have to figure out why."

After a tight contest for much of the first half, Indiana State dominated the last four-plus minutes with a 17-3 run. It was capped by R.J. Mahurin's four- point play, followed by a steal and score by Khristian Smith in the final 35 seconds to give the Sycamores a 39-28 lead at the half.

Wichita State would attempt a comeback and got within 50-48 with 7:26 remaining. However, they were unable to take over the lead, as Odum helped begin a 14-3 run for the Sycamores in the final three minutes. He recorded eight points in the swing, including the first four.
