Tahj Tate scored 16 points and Albert Thomas chipped in 10 and a team-high five boards to help Delaware State beat Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference-foe Florida A&M 57-48 Monday night.

Marcus Oliver added 10 points and three of the Hornets' nine blocks. Center Kendall Gray recorded four blocks.

Delaware State (9-10, 4-1), winners of three straight, shot 42.9 percent (21 of 49) and made 10 of 14 free throws. The Hornets were outrebounded 29-24 but forced 17 turnovers on the strength of 10 steals.

Jamari Bradshaw and Reggie Lewis led Florida A&M (6-15, 3-4) with 18 points and 15 points, respectively, but the other three Rattlers starters combined for just six points. The Rattlers shot 40.8 percent (20 of 49) but struggled from deep at 26.7 percent (4 of 15).

Florida A&M led 46-45 on a Bradshaw 3-pointer but was outscored 12-2 over the final 4 minutes.
