Palermo, Italy – Palermo has added striker Mauro Boselli on loan from English Premiership side Wigan through the rest of the current season.
The 27-year-old Boselli has featured in 12 games in all competitions for the Latics this term, netting four goals, and his loan move includes the option for Palermo to make the switch permanent at the end of the campaign.
After joining Wigan from Estudiantes in 2010, Boselli enjoyed a loan spell in Italy with Genoa last season that saw him score one goal in six appearances.
In total, Boselli has tallied five goals in 24 matches for Wigan, and he joins a Palermo side that resides in 19th place in Serie A, having scored just 19 goals in 22 matches.
