Valencia made the most of the one-man advantage that it held for much of the second half on Saturday, storming back from a one-goal deficit to take all three points in a 3-2 defeat of Deportivo at the Riazor.

Jonas gave visiting Valencia an early lead when he headed home a corner kick inside the opening minute.

But Deportivo responded admirably thanks to a two-goal outing from Riki.

The 32-year-old got Deportivo off the mark in the 31st minute, getting on the end of an inch-perfect free kick delivery to nod the home side level.

The Spanish striker then gave Deportivo the lead just before halftime when he drifted inside from the right flank and fired a low, left-footed shot just inside the near post.

Deportivo was dealt a major blow in the 51st minute when Silvio was sent off, and Valencia took advantage as Nelson Haedo Valdez got his side on level terms just 12 minutes later.

Valencia was able to grab a late winner when Ricardo Costa struck in the second minute of added time, and Deportivo was left no way back when Paulo Assuncao was sent off a minute later.

Los Che moves level with Levante in a tie for fifth place in Spain's top flight, even on 33 points apiece.

Deportivo drops its second successive league match to remain bottom of the league on 16 points.

Levante 2, Valladolid 1

Valencia, Spain - Levante received a good bit a fortune in its 2-1 defeat of Valladolid at the Ciutat de Valencia on Saturday.

Baraja handed Valladolid an early lead before Jose Barkero equalized for the home side just before halftime, but it was Antonio Rukavina's own goal at the death that saw Levante take all three points and climb to fifth place in La Liga with 33 points on the season.

Valladolid remains on 28 points as its two-game winning run comes to an end.

Celta Vigo 1, Real Sociedad 1

Vigo, Spain - Real Sociedad capitalized on playing with an extra man as it earned a point in a 1-1 draw with 10-man Celta Vigo at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos on Saturday.

Michael Krohn-Dehli opened the scoring for Celta Vigo just after the half-hour mark, but it was Augusto Fernandez's sending off in the 50th minute that allowed La Real to play with a man advantage, which Gorka Urkola made full use of with the equalizer nine minutes later.

Real Sociedad was unable to find a game-winning goal as both sides settled for a point. Sociedad improves to 30 points, 10 points better than Celta Vigo.

Real Zaragoza 0, Espanyol 0

Aragon, Spain - Real Zaragoza and Espanyol both had a man sent off in an ugly 0-0 draw at La Romareda on Saturday.

With the match scoreless in the final stages, Javi Lopez and Cristian Sapunaru got themselves banished to their respective dressing rooms in the span of three minutes, capping a disappointing outing for both sides.

The two clubs remain separated by a single point as Real Zaragoza improves to 23 points, followed closely by Espanyol.
