Patricio Garino netted 16 points as George Washington won its third straight Atlantic 10 Conference game, beating Charlotte 82-54 Saturday.
Garino hit 6 of 6 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, and also had four steals. Bryan Bynes and Lasan Kromah each added 12 points off the bench for the Colonials (10-9, 4-2).
George Washington drained 53.2 percent (25 of 47) of its shots, including 5 of 11 from 3-point range, and dominated the glass with a 40-27 rebounding advantage, including eight boards by Isaiah Armwood.
DeMario Mayfield led the 49ers (16-4, 4-2) with 17 points and tied Willie Clayton for the team lead with eight rebounds. Chris Braswell hit 9 of 10 free throws and Pierria Henry made 5 of 13 from the floor as each scored 11 points.
George Washington led 64-50 when Joe McDonald's two free throws sparked a 13-0 Colonial run.
