Dundee, Scotland – Richard Brittain's goal in the 82nd minute helped Ross County claim a 1-1 draw at Dundee United on Saturday, helping the visitors move a bit further from the bottom of the league.
Gary Mackay-Steven broke a scoreless deadlock in the 52nd minute with a fine left-footed effort which curled beyond the reach of Ross County goalkeeper Mark Brown.
The effort looked to be the difference between the two bottom-half sides, but Brittain produced a moment of brilliance to snatch a point for his team.
With the game having entered the final 10 minutes, Brittain collected a pass from Ivan Sproule and lashed a shot into the upper corner of the net that gave United goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak little chance to keep it out.
The result moves Ross County 12 points clear of last-place FC Dundee, while United trails sixth-place St Johnstone on goal difference.
