Wigan forward Callum McManaman put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension on Friday, keeping him with the club until 2016.
"Wigan Athletic are delighted to announce that Callum McManaman has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension which will see him remain at the DW Stadium until 2016," the club said in a statement on its official website.
McManaman made his first-team debut for the Latics in May 2009 and has since registered 25 appearances for Roberto Martinez's side.
The 21-year-old attacker spent last campaign on loan at Championship side Blackpool, where he scored a pair of goals in 14 appearances. Since returning to Wigan, he has made 13 appearances this season.
"It was an easy decision to be honest, never in doubt and I was just made up to get it signed and completed," McManaman said. "The club is very important to me. I want to keep improving, keep making appearances and maybe get more starts under my belt. Hopefully in time that will come because I believe there is a lot more to come from me."
