Liverpool, England – Sylvain Distin has signed a one-year contract extension with Everton to remain at Goodison Park until the summer of 2014, it was announced Thursday.
Along with Phil Jagielka, Distin has anchored a Toffees defense that has conceded just 26 goals in 23 league games.
The 35-year-old has made 19 first-team appearances this term.
