Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon put pen to paper on a new two-year contract on Wednesday, remaining with the Serie A leaders until 2015.
The 34-year-old joined the Bianconeri from Parma in 2001 and has made over 500 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Buffon has won five Serie A titles with Juventus, was a Champions League runner-up in 2003 and led Italy to the 2006 World Cup title.
"When I arrived at Juve my only concern was whether or not I could cut it at this level," Buffon told the club's official website. "I hope to play for as long as I'm able and I'm ready to give my all."
"Buffon is tied to us for another two years, until June of 2015," club president Andrea Agnelli said. "He's already among the best and greatest names in the history of Juventus. I like remembering the five titles he won on the pitch, and the World Cup, but what sets him apart is his honesty and his leadership."
