London, England – Chelsea announced Tuesday that defender Ashley Cole has signed a one-year contract extension with the club, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2014.
Since joining the Blues in 2006, Cole has claimed a Champions League title, a Premier League title, four FA Cup crowns and a League Cup medal. His seven FA Cup wins, three of which were with Arsenal, is an all-time record for one player.
"I am pleased I will be starting my eighth season at Chelsea," the 32-year-old told the club's official website. "I have great memories here and I enjoy coming to training every day. The staff are amazing and I enjoy training with the lads.
"I have been able to fulfil nearly all my ambitions at Chelsea. I have won the Champions League, the League, I have won FA Cups here but of course you don't want to stop winning trophies and being at a big club, you are always fighting to win a trophy."
Cole has made 293 appearances for Chelsea and has scored seven goals.
