The Texas Rangers have come to terms with outfielder David Murphy on a contract for the 2013 season, the team announced Monday.

Murphy, who had been Texas' lone arbitration-eligible player yet to be signed, hit .304 with 15 home runs, 61 RBI and a career-high 29 doubles over 147 games last season. The left-handed hitter finished the year ranked sixth among American League players with a .380 on-base percentage as well.

Acquired by the Rangers as a part of a trade with Boston in July of 2007, Murphy has amassed a .286 average with 72 homers and 317 RBI over six seasons with Texas.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Murphy earned $3.625 million in 2012.
