Paolo Mancasola scored 18 points, Corey Hawkins added 17 and UC Davis won at Cal State Northridge for the first time since 1986, defeating the Matadors 74-71 Thursday night.

J.T. Adenrele added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Aggies (6-10, 2-3 Big West), and Ryan Sypkens also had 13 points.

Stephen Maxwell had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Northridge (9-9, 0-6 Big West), which has lost six straight. Josh Greene added 14 points and Allan Guei had 10.

UC Davis trailed by six early in the second half and took the lead for good, 60-56, with 6 minutes remaining after back-to-back 3-pointers from Josh Ritchart and Mancasola. After Northridge pulled within 70-68 with 1:31 remaining, Mancasola hit another 3 with 23 seconds left to secure the win.

The Aggies had lost nine straight on Northridge's home court dating back to 1986 when both teams competed at the Division II level.
