Chris Dixon scored a career-high 30 points and Keith Rendleman posted a double-double to propel UNC Wilmington over George Mason 82-74 Saturday in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Dixon, who entered averaging just 6 points, was 12 of 16 from the field. Rendleman had 11 points and 13 boards despite going 1-for-8 from the floor, and Tyree Graham chipped in 15.

UNC Wilmington (6-10, 1-3) took its first lead of the game, 65-64, behind a Chris Dixon layup with 6:26 left to play and pushed that lead to six, 73-67, two minutes later. George Mason (9-7, 2-2) cut the deficit to 75-72 with 2:12 remaining, but neither team scored again until the Seahawks' Craig Ponder made two free throws at the 48-second mark.

Rendleman added two more shots from the stripe 10 seconds later to seal it.

Sherrod Wright led George mason with 25 points.
