John Terry could play for Chelsea for the first time in two months after he was included on the roster for Saturday's Premier League match at Stoke.

The former England captain has been out since damaging ligaments in his right knee in a collision with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in a 1-1 tie at Stamford Bridge on Nov. 11.

Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez said Friday that Terry would be on the bench "but he is available and it's good news to us."

In Terry's 16-game absence, Chelsea became the first reigning champion to be eliminated from the group stage of the Champions League and slipped 14 points behind leader Manchester United in the Premier League. The center back and club captain has yet to play under Benitez.
