GREELEY, Colo. – Calen Coleman scored 16 points and Montana State stormed from behind in the second half to defeat Northern Colorado 69-66 on Thursday night.
Montana State (6-7, 3-2 Big Sky) trailed 59-50 with 8:47 left in the game. Northern Colorado (3-10, 1-4) still led 66-64 with 1:48 on a dunk by Derrick Barden.
Xavier Blount's layup tied it for Montana State at with 1:26 left, and Michael Dison's two free throws with 29 seconds left put Montana State up for good.
Blount finished with 14 points. Paul Egwuonwu had 12 points and Christian Moon ha d10.
Tate Unruh led Northern Colorado with 23 points, including five 3-pointers. Barden scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
