Anthony Nieves scored 18 points and Marquiz Baker 17 to lead Alcorn State to an 80-46 routing of Grambling State Tuesday night in Southwestern Athletic Conference action.

Nieves was 5-of-11 shooting, including 3 of 6 from 3-point range, while Baker was 6-of-13 shooting and 5 of 10 from deep. LeAntwan Luckett added 14 points.

The Braves (5-14, 3-1) made 51.8 percent (29 of 56) of their shots, including 10 of 21 from 3-point range. Alcorn State has won consecutive games for the first time this year.

Terry Rose paced Grambling State (0-13, 0-4) with 19 points. The Tigers shot just 28.8 percent (17 of 59), including 22.6 percent (7 of 31) in the first half.

Grambling State went 0 for 7 from 3-point range before halftime, when it trailed 38-15, but hit 5 of 7 after the break. Rose hit four of those treys in six attempts.
