Joel Smith scored 23 points and Demetrius Pollard had 17 to lead Northeastern to a 68-64 win over UNC Wilmington on Saturday.

Jonathan Lee finished with 10 points, five assists and four steals for the Huskies (7-7, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association), who have won two consecutive games.

UNC Wilmington took a 48-45 lead on Tanner Milson's 3-pointer with 11:45 left in the second half. But the Seahawks (5-9, 0-2) lost their advantage and would never retake the lead after Pollard made a jumper and Smith hit a 3-pointer with 10:58 remaining.

Milson, who led UNC Wilmington with 20 points, made a 3-pointer to cut Northeastern's lead to 67-64 with 6 seconds left. But the Huskies held on for the victory after Lee's free throw.

Keith Rendleman scored 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for UNC Wilmington, who has lost three straight. Cedrick Williams had 12 points and seven rebounds.
