Augsburg, Germany – Sunderland striker Ji Dong-Won has secured a loan move to Bundesliga side Augsburg for the rest of the season.
Ji scored two goals with two assists last season for the Black Cats in 19 appearances, but he has yet to feature for the club this term.
The 21-year-old will now hope to revive his campaign in Germany with Augsburg, which sits second from the bottom in the league and has totaled only 12 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches.
"It's nice that we could complete the transfer before the start of training [following the winter break]," said Augsburg's new sporting director, Stefan Reuter. "Dong-Won Ji, who can play in several attacking positions, will be able to enjoy full preparation for the second half of the season with the team."
