South Bend, IN – Natalie Achonwa scored 15 points and pulled down nine of her 17 rebounds on the offensive glass, as No. 5 Notre Dame rolled over 11th-ranked Purdue, 74-47, at Purcell Pavilion.
Kayla McBride netted a game-high 18 points, while Skylar Diggins chipped in 16 in the wire-to-wire win for the Fighting Irish (10-1), who improved to 4-1 against ranked opponents this season.
Courtney Moses netted Taylor Manuel had 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Boilermakers (11-2), who had their six-game winning streak stopped.
Notre Dame, fresh off winning the World Vision Classic prior to the Christmas break, jumped out to a 21-4 lead and never looked back.
The lead grew to as high as 30 in the second half.
