Green Bay, WI – The Green Bay Packers expect to have wide receiver Jordy Nelson back in action for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings after he put in a third consecutive full practice on Friday.
While Nelson, who's sat out three straight weeks after straining his hamstring during Green Bay's 23-14 victory over the Vikings back on Dec. 2, was listed as probable on the final injury report, leading receiver Randall Cobb figures to be a game-time decision for Sunday's pivotal matchup.
Cobb is dealing with ankle and knee injuries that forced him to exit last Sunday's win over Tennessee. The second-year pro did practice on a limited capacity on Friday after missing Thursday's session, and was officially deemed questionable to play.
The 2011 second-round pick tops Green Bay with 80 catches and 954 receiving yards and has hauled in eight touchdown passes this season, and also serves as the Packers' primary returner on kickoffs and punts.
Running back Alex Green, inactive for the Tennessee game due to a concussion, was also declared probable for Sunday's tilt after being medically cleared to go. Guard Josh Sitton (concussion), defensive end C.J. Wilson (knee) and kicker Mason Crosby (illness) were also among those expected to play.
The Packers will still be minus veteran defensive back Charles Woodson, however, with the former NFL Defensive Player of Year still mending from a fractured collarbone he sustained back in October. Running back James Starks was also ruled out as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
Green Bay has already clinched the NFC North heading into Sunday's clash, but can secure the conference's No. 2 seed and a first-round bye by defeating Minnesota.
