The Dallas Mavericks have signed guard/forward Chris Douglas-Roberts off their NBA Development League team.

Douglas-Roberts is leading the D-League in scoring at 22.5 points per game in 11 games. He's also averaging 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists for the Texas Legends.

Douglas-Roberts is filling the roster spot vacated by veteran point guard Derek Fisher, who was waived at his request because he wanted to be with his family after being sidelined by a right knee strain.

New Jersey's second-round pick in 2008 out of Memphis, Douglas-Roberts has played for the Nets and Bucks. He was with the Los Angeles Lakers in training camp after playing in the Italian League in 2011-12.

Douglas-Roberts has career averages of 7.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 155 games.
