Ryan Bass hit a jump shot with 2 seconds left to give Oakland a 59-57 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Bass' game-winner came after J.R. Sims hit 1 of 2 free throws with 16 seconds left to tie the game, as Oakland (5-8) held on after the Eagles (6-5) rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit.

Travis Bader led the Golden Grizzlies with 21 points and Corey Petros had 13 rebounds. Oakland won despite shooting 31.5 percent from the field and 58 percent from the free-throw line.

Eastern Michigan got 17 points from Jalen Ross, 11 from Derek Thompson and 10 from Daylen Harrison. The Eagles trailed 35-21 early in the second half and were still down by double digits with 9:48 remaining before going on a 15-3 run to take their first lead of the game, 52-50, with 2:25 remaining.
