Cagliari, Italy – Juventus came from behind to secure a 3-1 win at Cagliari on Friday as Juve scored three times in the final 15 minutes, including two goals from Alessandro Matri.
Mauricio Pinilla's penalty kick in the 16th minute put Cagliari on top, but the club was reduced to 10 men midway through the second half when Davide Astori collected his second yellow card.
Arturo Vidal could have leveled the contest in the 72nd for Juve but his spot kick sailed over the crossbar, while Matri finally tallied the equalizer three minutes later.
A shot from Mirko Vucinic was parried by Cagliari goalkeeper Michael Agazzi, but Matri was on hand to fire home the rebound.
Agazzi produced a fine save to deny Kwadwo Asamoah's header in the 89th minute, but a failed clearance from Nene led to Juve taking the lead in stoppage time as Matri easily finished off the play.
Vucinic added another goal shortly before the final whistle to cap the win, which moves Juve 10 points clear of second-place Inter Milan.
The other match on Friday saw Pescara climb out of the bottom three with a 2-1 win over Catania.
After the two sides traded first-half goals, Pescara's Romulo Togni netted the winner deep into stoppage time as he scored on a free kick from 25 yards.
