Udinese moved into the top half of Serie A on Monday by securing a 2-0 win over Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.
The visitors scored both of their goals in the opening 30 minutes and then held out for the rest of the match to win for the second time in seven games, while Sampdoria sustained its first loss in four contests.
A corner kick from Antonio Di Natale led to the opening goal as his cross found the head of Danilo, who turned the ball past goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
Di Natale then found the back of the net himself 11 minutes later to double the lead when Emmanuel Badu forced a turnover in Sampdoria's defensive third, allowing Di Natale to round the goalkeeper and roll the ball into the empty net.
Sampdoria's best chance at a reply came midway through the second half when Nicola Pozzi was given the opportunity to pull a goal back from the penalty spot, but saw his effort saved by Udinese goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic.
Bologna 0, Lazio 0
Bologna, Italy - Lazio moved into the top four on Monday despite being held to a 0-0 draw at Bologna.
Lazio entered the contest having earned 10 points from its last four matches, and although the visitors were the more dangerous side, they were unable to find a way past goalkeeper Federico Agliardi.
Defender Giuseppe Biava had the best chance to score for Lazio but Agliardi did well to parry his shot before halftime, while chances dried up for both teams after the break.
Lazio finished the match with 10 men after Libor Kozak received his second yellow card five minutes from time, taking away any chance for the capital club to snatch three points.
