Hannover has confirmed that manager Mirko Slomka signed a three-year contract extension over the weekend that ties him to the club until 2016.
There was speculation that Slomka would move on after talks over a new deal were delayed last month.
But after Slomka managed Hannover to a 3-2 win over second-place Bayer Leverkusen in his 100th match in charge of the club, the new contract was signed.
The win moved Hannover into ninth place and the club is just two points out of a place in the top six, making them very much in the discussion for a place in Europe next season.
The news on injured midfielder Lars Stindl was not as good as the club determined that the 24-year-old would require ankle surgery this week.
Stindl sustained the problem in Hannover's 2-2 Europa League draw against Levante and could face an extended period of time on the sidelines.
Prior to his injury, Stindl appeared in 14 of Hannover's 15 league matches, scoring two goals and setting up five more.
