Eindhoven, Netherlands – Tim Matavz and Luciano Narsingh scored two minutes part in the closing minutes as PSV Eindhoven downed Twente, 3-0, on Sunday to climb into first place in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Georgino Wijnaldum scored seven minutes before half to give PSV the cushion at the break, and the scoreline held until Matavz scored in the 80th and Narsingh added the third goal in the 82nd minute.
PSV lost its last two matches to Vitesse and Ajax, but regained form to return to the summit. PSV vaulted Twente and Vitesse - which lost Sunday - and is two points clear at the top.
Also Sunday, Guus Hupperts scored the last of three second-half goals as Roda tied Heerenveen, 4-4, on the road to snap a four-game losing streak and climb off the bottom of the standings.
Nemanja Gudelj gave NAC a share of the points with the final goal in a 2-2 tie against Feyenoord in a game both sides finished with 10 men, and Brian Linssen and Robert Cullen scored second-half goals as Venlo surprised Vitesse, 3-1.
