FBI agents have raided properties in northeast Indiana belonging to a former NFL lineman and his brother as part of an ongoing investigation by a task force that focuses on combatting illegal drugs and violent crime.

Federal, state and local agents searched Fort Wayne property belonging to former New York Jets player Jason Fabini and a home owned by his brother, Michael Fabini.

FBI Special Agent David Crawford on Friday would only say that there was "investigative activity" at those addresses and five others in the Fort Wayne area.

Crawford says the raids were conducted by the Safe Streets Task Force, whose mission is to combat gun-, gang- and drug-related crime. He says the task force also investigates other types of crime.
