Rotterdam, Netherlands – Ronald Koeman has signed a new contract with Feyenoord that ties him to the club as manager until the summer of 2014.
Koeman took over at Feyenoord prior to the start of last season and led the club to a second-place finish in his inaugural campaign.
The 49-year-old has spent time with a number of clubs in the Eredivisie during his coaching career, including stops at Vitesse, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar.
In addition to his managerial jobs in the Netherlands, Koeman has also coached Benfica and Valencia.
Under Koeman's direction this season, Feyenoord sits in the fifth place and only four points off the top spot.
