Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn performed flawlessly under the most difficult of circumstances.

Just one day after his teammate was involved in a murder-suicide, Quinn carried the Chiefs to a victory over the Carolina Panthers that ended an eight-game losing streak. He completed 19 of 23 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception.

Afterward, Quinn drew just as much praise for the way he handled the incident involving Jovan Belcher.

Speaking from his heart, Quinn talked about the emotional 24 hours that the team had endured, and in doing so stamped himself for the first time this season as one of the leaders of the team.
