Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has suffered another setback in his recovery from injury and may be out until January.
Robben sustained a muscle injury while away on international duty with the Netherlands in November and hasn't featured for Bayern since.
The club was hopeful that he would be fit in time to play in the club's match with Borussia Dortmund last weekend, but the Dutchman has revealed that a back problem is now preventing him from returning.
"The muscle injury has healed, but my back is causing me problems again. I had pain in my back once more last week," Robben told Bild.
"I don't know whether I can make my comeback this year. We will keep on working on my recovery and try and shake off the back problem with the help of the doctors."
The 28-year-old has been limited to 10 games in all competitions this season because of persistent injury trouble.
