Rashaad Richardson drained a go-ahead 3-pointer with 3 seconds left to lift Georgia State over Liberty 67-66 Sunday in a nonconference game.

With the Panthers (4-4) down 65-61, Georgia State's RJ Hunter converted a three-point play, and then Liberty's Casey Roberts made 1 of 2 free throws to put the Flames up 66-64.

Hunter grabbed the rebound when Roberts missed the second free throw, and Georgia State took the ball the other way, setting up Richardson's winning shot.

Liberty's 0-8 start is the worst in program history.

Georgia State trailed 37-29 at halftime but opened on a 9-0 run. The lead change was the first of seven in the second half.

Manny Atkins and Devonta White led Georgia State with 17 points each. Hunter finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Richardson had 10 points.

Davon Marshall hit six 3-pointers and tallied 25 points for Liberty, both career highs.
