With the Brasileiro title already secured, Fluminense's season ended on low note as the champions were defeated at home in a 2-1 loss to Vasco da Gama on Sunday.

Eder Luis bagged a brace for Vasco in the span of eight minutes, scoring in the 68th and 76th to put the visitors in the driver's seat.

Carleto's penalty kick nine minutes from time was not enough for Fluminense to claim a result, leaving the club on 77 points to finish the season.

Vasco ends the campaign with 58 points, finishing with a four-game unbeaten run.

Atletico Mineiro also concluded the season with a four-game unbeaten streak, edging Cruzeiro 3-2 on Sunday to finish second in Brazil's top flight with 72 points. Cruzeiro finishes the haul in ninth on 52 points.

Also on Sunday, Coritiba claimed a 3-0 victory over lowly Figueirense, Bahia edged Goianiense in a 1-0 win, Nautico earned a 1-0 win over Sport Recife, Gremio and Internacional played to a 0-0 draw, Sao Paulo cruised to a 3-0 win over Corinthians, and Portuguesa and Ponte Preta finished 0-0 at the Caninde.

On Saturday, Flamengo and Botafogo played to a 2-2 draw and Santos finished with a 3-1 defeat of Palmeiras.
