Marko Arnautovic scored a hat trick as Werder Bremen defeated Hoffenheim, 4-1, on Sunday at Rhein-Neckar Arena in the Bundesliga.

Sebastian Prodl opened the scoring for Werder Bremen in the 21st minute, and Arnautovic started his memorable performance with his first goal in the 29th.

Sejad Salihovic scored early in the second half for struggling Hoffenheim, but Arnautovic followed with two more goals in a six-minute stretch late to secure the road victory.

Bremen climbed into the top half of the standings with two matches remaining before the winter break. Hoffenheim lost its fourth straight during a five- game skid, and is in 16th place on just 12 points.

Wolfsburg 1, Hamburg 1

Wolfsburg, Germany - Simon Kjaer scored in the second half as Wolfsburg tied Hamburg, 1-1, on Sunday at Volkswagen Arena to inch four points clear of the relegation zone in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg has just one win at home this season in seven matches, leading to a poor first half of the season.

Maximilian Beister scored in the first half for Hamburg, which climbed into the top half of the standings in ninth place with the draw.
