Newcastle could be without Yohan Cabaye and Steven Taylor until February, manager Alan Pardew said Tuesday.

Cabaye and Taylor have combined to make 21 appearances for Newcastle, and will leave two big voids for Pardew to fill.

"We're probably looking at (Yohan) and Steven (being out until) February so we might as well get the bad news out of the way, because that's what it is, and just focus on what is important and that's what we've got left," Pardew said.

Cabaye has been sidelined since early November with a hernia problem, and will be out "he'll be out for eight weeks," Pardew said. Cabaye had surgery, but is set to have another procedure.

Taylor picked up a hamstring injury last weekend against Southampton, and will be sidelined "six to eight weeks," Pardew said.
