Braga fell nine points off the pace in the Portuguese Liga on Sunday after FC Porto scored two goals in stoppage time to claim a 2-0 win in a battle of top-three sides.
Benfica's 2-0 win over Olhanense on Saturday meant that Porto needed all three points to remain level with their rivals, while Braga was attempting to hand Porto its first defeat of the campaign.
The match remained scoreless into stoppage time and it looked like Braga would get a big point against the defending champions. However, James Rodriguez and Jackson Martinez had other ideas, with both players netting a goal before the final whistle to lift Porto back level with Benfica.
Braga remains in third despite the loss, but the club now has a sizeable gap to try to close at the top of the league.
Oscar Cardozo and Luisao tallied goals for Benfica on Saturday to keep the team even with Porto, while Rio Ave got a hat trick from Joao Tomas and two more goals from Yonathan Del Valle in a 5-3 win over Setubal, which got all three of its goals from Albert Ze.

Nacional notched a 1-0 win over Estoril with Mateus scoring the only goal in the 56th minute, while Edinho's strike in the 87th helped Academica salvage a 2-2 draw with Gil Vicente.
Monday's result saw Sporting Lisbon come from two goals down in the second half to record a 2-2 draw at Moreirense, while on Tuesday, Luiz Carlos scored four minutes from time as Pacos Ferreira tied Maritimo, 2-2.
