Case McCoy will start at quarterback for Texas in Saturday's regular-season finale against Kansas State.
McCoy will make his first start of the season in place of an injured David Ash, who hurt his ribs in last Thursday's 20-13 loss to TCU.
Texas coach Mack Brown announced the decision on Monday. Ash is questionable for the game.
McCoy has thrown for 408 yards, four touchdowns and one interception this season.
