Aragon, Spain – A late goal from Iago Aspas was enough to give Celta Vigo a 1-0 win at Real Zaragoza on Monday, moving the club three points clear of the relegation places.
Celta entered the match on a five-game winless streak and had yet to collect a point away from home.
But after surviving some early chances for Zaragoza, Aspas fired home the winning goal seven minutes from time after latching on to a left-wing cross from Roberto Lago.
Carlos Aranda tried to answer for the home side, but Celta goalkeeper Javi Varas tipped his effort over the crossbar, preserving the win.
