Behind a double-double from post Alex Kirk, New Mexico pulled away from Portland in the second half Sunday in a 69-54 win.

Kirk finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Lobos (6-0), and Jamal Fenton added 12 in his first start of the season.

Kevin Bailey, who fouled out with 11 minutes remaining, and Korey Thielke each scored 11 to lead the Pilots (2-3).
