In the midst of his biggest win since returning to coaching, Mike Leach was matter of fact about moving ahead.

At least now, thanks to Washington State pulling off the biggest comeback in the 105 meetings with rival Washington, Leach has a benchmark victory to build on as he tries to put behind him a rocky first season on the Palouse that featured an eight-game losing streak, little offensive fireworks and disgruntled players.

Meanwhile, his counterpart across the state, Steve Sarkisian, can only hope the late collapse to the Cougars is only a minor blip and doesn't lead to any hangover. The Huskies are headed for a bowl game, but there will be lofty expectations for Washington heading into 2013.
